synopsis

Brandon, a Native American teenager from Camopi and educated in Cayenne, has to retake the Maraké test which he failed three years ago. The young man who lives every day in the city returns to his village which can only be accessed by canoe, to perpetuate this ancestral rite of passage that he must succeed in order to become a man and preserve the honor of his family. To the sound of Tules and songs in Wayampi, Brandon will live a determining and founding moment for his identity.
